It was coming and it's here: the first OP-17 cards, from the One Piece Card Game's fourth anniversary set, have begun to leak from Japan and the community has been sharing them non-stop this weekend. OP-17 World's Strongest Warriors revolves around Elbaf and the Four Emperors, and from what we've seen, it's packed with legends. Here are all the OP-17 cards revealed so far, organized and commented on by a collector for collectors. An important note before starting: these are Japanese leaks, so names, values, and texts are provisional until Bandai officially confirms them.

When OP-17 is released and why it's a special launch

OP-17 is the expansion celebrating the fourth anniversary of One Piece Card Game, and it comes with a historical change: for the first time, the launch will be worldwide and simultaneous, without the usual delay between the Japanese and English versions. In Japan, it will be released on August 22, 2026, and the global date is set for August 26. The set brings 126 card types plus the DON!!, distributed among 6 leaders, 45 commons, 30 uncommons, 26 rares, 10 super rares, and 2 secrets, plus SP cards and a new rarity above SEC: the Treasure Rare, of which it is still unknown which card will occupy that slot.

The theme couldn't be more appealing: Elbaf, the Giants, and the Yonko in full swing. Exactly what is happening in the manga, brought to the game at the peak of hype. If you want to secure a box, the OP-17 English Booster Box is already available for pre-order in the store.

OP-17 leaders revealed

Of the six leaders in the set, we have already seen five. The sixth (the blue color) is yet to appear, but the four Emperors plus Whitebeard are already on the table, and they look very promising.

  • Edward Newgate (Whitebeard), Red (OP17-001): 5 Life and 5000 Power. When the opponent attacks, once per turn you can discard 1 card to give +4000 Power to your Leader or a Character during that battle. A pure defensive wall, very Marineford-like.
  • Monkey D. Luffy, Black (OP17-079): Your Characters with 12 or more cost gain [Blocker]. A leader designed to support the giants of Elbaf with huge bodies that can withstand attacks.

  • Shanks, Green (OP17-020): 5 Life and 5000 Power. Once per turn, by discarding 1 card or resting 1 DON!!, you can rest an enemy Character so that it does not activate in its next refresh phase. Pure control.
  • Kaido, Purple (OP17-058): 5 Life and 5000 Power. When attacking or when the opponent attacks, once per turn and by paying DON!!-1, reduce an enemy Character's Power by 2000 during the turn. The classic purple ramp and board control.

Leader card Charlotte Linlin Big Mom yellow OP17-099 One Piece Card Game OP-17

Charlotte Linlin (Big Mom), Yellow Leader OP17-099. Japanese leak.

The fifth contender is Charlotte Linlin (Big Mom), Yellow (OP17-099), also with 5 Life and 5000 Power, with an attack effect that plays with Life cards and forces the opponent to choose poison. Very much in the vein of classic yellow.

Loki, the Elbaf SEC that captures all eyes

Loki secret rare card OP17-119 Elbaf Giants One Piece Card Game OP-17

Loki OP17-119, Secret Rare. Japanese leak, provisional text.

The star card in terms of collection is Loki (OP17-119), the Secret Rare of the set and prince of Elbaf. It is a Black Character with 6 cost and 8000 power with Giant/Elbaf traits. It gains +12 cost and +3000 power on the opponent's turn, and when it enters, it can KO enemy Characters with a total cost of 4 or less. A powerhouse that fits perfectly with the Black Luffy leader and his giant plan.

SP cards and the new anniversary rarities

This is the part with the most juice for collectors. According to the Japanese list, OP-17 introduces the Super Leader Parallel rarity (a leader with a premium finish) and adds Super Parallel versions of several cards. Additionally, the SP cards come in two blocks and, importantly, are not new OP-17 cards: they are re-releases with SP art from cards from other sets, which is why they carry codes like ST31, OP13, or EB04.

The four Emperors in Super Parallel: Newgate (OP17-005), Shanks (OP17-022), Kaido (OP17-062), and Big Mom (OP17-112). Japanese leak.

The Super Leader Parallel of the Luffy leader (that golden version) is the most sought-after collector's card in the set, alongside the upcoming Treasure Rare that has yet to be revealed.

Our opinion at Collectowny

On paper, OP-17 looks like it will be one of the strongest sets of the year, and not just in terms of gameplay power. Bringing together the four Emperors, adding SPs with legends like Roger and Rayleigh, introducing the Super Leader Parallel, and topping it all off with the new Treasure Rare is exactly the kind of combo that drives demand from day one. Our collector's recommendation is clear: if you like to open packs, an anniversary set with so many high rarities invites a full display; if you're looking for specific cards, keep an eye on Loki, the Luffy Super Leader Parallel, and the Roger SPs, which are usually the ones that increase in value the most. And remember that all of this is still a leak: until Bandai publishes the official list, take it as an exciting preview, not as gospel.
