It's official: Delta Reign is the next Pokémon TCG set and it arrives on November 6, 2026. It is the sixth expansion of the Mega Evolution era; it will be called Megaevolución Dominio Delta in Spanish and brings back one of the game's most beloved Pokémon with a card that is going to be the talk of the town: Mega Rayquaza ex. If you read our article about Storm Emeralda, the Japanese set it is based on, you already know what to expect. Here is everything confirmed to date, from collector to collector.

When is the release date for Delta Reign and what is it called in Spanish?
The global release date is November 6, 2026, for both English and Spanish simultaneously. Before that, from October 24 to November 1, in-store prerelease tournaments will take place, and preorders will open throughout September. It's the usual pattern for large sets: there is stock in the first weeks, then comes the drought, and replenishment takes a while.
Pay attention to the name, because there is going to be confusion on search engines and Telegram groups. Delta Reign is the English name, Megaevolución Dominio Delta the Spanish one, and Storm Emeralda the Japanese one. They are practically the same set, though not identical, and we will tell you why below.
The four new Mega ex in Delta Reign
The set introduces four Mega ex Pokémon and all four cards have already been revealed. The star is Mega Rayquaza ex (084/103, Dragon type, 280 HP): its Ruler's Roar ability lets you look at the top four cards of your deck when you play it from your hand to the bench and attach a basic energy you find there. Its attack, Storm Emerald, does 50 damage for each Fire and Lightning energy attached to all of your Pokémon. Yes, all of them: it scales much faster than it seems.

It is accompanied by three Megas that no one had in their predictions and which are, in our opinion, the most fun part of the set:
- Mega Golurk ex (047/103, Psychic, 350 HP): the toughest of the four. Its Restricted Activation ability prevents it from attacking if you don't have 10 or more cards in your hand, but in exchange, Goliath's Punch hits for 300 with only two energies and does 30 damage to itself.
- Mega Golisopod ex (011/103, Grass, 340 HP): Finishing Blow does 60 and increases to 220 if the opponent's Active Pokémon already has damage counters. Quadruple Hold hits for 160 and prevents retreating.
- Mega Malamar ex (069/103, Darkness, 320 HP): Psychic Marionette does 70 for each Pokémon on the opponent's bench, so it punishes decks that build wide boards. Eerie Wave hits for 200 and leaves the opponent confused.

Legendary Stadiums: cards played in pairs
The mechanical novelty of Delta Reign is the Legendary Stadiums, three Stadium cards split in half. You cannot play them separately: you have to combine two different halves of the same card to put it into play as a single Stadium, and you can only carry two full sets in your deck.
The first one revealed is Legendary Summit, which occupies numbers 096/103 and 097/103. Its effect is powerful: when a Pokémon is knocked out by damage from an opponent's attack, that player draws one less Prize card. It is the spirit of the old HeartGold and SoulSilver LEGEND cards, which also came in two halves, but applied to Stadiums and with a much clearer competitive utility.

How many cards does the set have and what rarities does it include?
Delta Reign exceeds 135 cards. The confirmed breakdown is as follows: four new Mega ex, six Pokémon ex, more than a dozen trainers (including the three Legendary Stadiums), 14 illustration rares, 17 ultra rares between Pokémon and trainers, and 6 special illustration rares. If you get lost in the alphabet soup, we have a format and buying guide that will get you up to speed in two minutes.
All the products in Delta Reign
The product line is the usual one for a main set, with two versions of ETB:
- Elite Trainer Box: 9 booster packs, 65 sleeves, 40 energies, player's guide, 6 damage counter dice, one tournament-legal coin flip die, one plastic coin, and a box with 6 dividers. Suggested retail price in the United States, 49.99 dollars.
- Pokémon Center Exclusive Elite Trainer Box, with its own design. 59.99 dollars.
- Display of 36 booster packs and an 18-pack version.
- Booster Bundle of 6 packs.
- Build & Battle Box, the usual option for prerelease.
- Blisters: one with Seel, a checklane with Spritzee, a premium checklane with Ampharos and Delphox, and two Target exclusives with Xerneas and Deoxys, and Keldeo and Delibird.
Each pack contains 10 cards and there are four different pack arts: Mega Rayquaza, Mega Golisopod, Mega Golurk, and Mega Malamar. The Elite Trainer Box promo is an illustration rare of Kyogre. The prices are the suggested ones in the United States, so in Spain, each store sets its own RRP.

From Storm Emeralda to Delta Reign: what changes
Storm Emeralda was released in Japan on July 31, 2026, with just over 110 cards. Delta Reign is not its exact translation: it also incorporates the 30 exclusive cards from the Japanese MEGA Starter Decks, those starter decks featuring Eevee ex, Zoroark ex, and Meowscarada ex. It is normal in this era; the West receives larger sets because they group together several Japanese products, and the downside is that some Japanese card is dropped from the main list and returns as a promo. Just what happens with the Kyogre in the ETB.
Our opinion at Collectowny
Delta Reign seems to us the most attractive set of the Mega Evolution era since Perfect Order, and not just because of Rayquaza. The Legendary Stadiums are the first truly novel mechanic in a long time, and the four Megas have personality: Golurk with 350 HP and 300 damage for two energies is one of the craziest things we've seen in a main set, although its ability conditions it quite a bit.
Specific recommendation: if you collect, the ETB is the best entry point because of the 9 packs, the Kyogre promo, and the accessories; if you are looking for the special illustration rares or the master set, the 36-pack display is more worth it than buying individually. And if you play, the Build & Battle Box from the prerelease is the cheapest way to get your hands on the cards before anyone else. What we would not do is wait until December: with Rayquaza in the mix, the first wave sells out quickly.
