Mega Symphonia [M1S] and its twin set Mega Brave [M1L] mark the beginning of the MEGA era in the Pokémon TCG, the second block of the ninth generation. It's the official return of Mega Evolutions to competitive play, something that hasn't happened since the XY era.

What makes this set special?

The most coveted card is Mega Gardevoir ex in its MUR (Mega Ultra Rare) version, a new rarity with completely original artwork that makes it one of the most difficult pulls in the current Japanese TCG. Accompanying the set are Mega Latias ex, Mega Kangaskhan ex, Mega Manectric, and Mega Abomasnow, all in SAR versions with collector-level illustrations.

The set also introduces double-sided item cards like Rare Candy in Full Art format, something new in the structure of recent Japanese sets.
