What is an ETB?
ETB stands for Elite Trainer Box. It's an official Pokémon TCG product that brings together, in a single box, booster packs to open and all the accessories you need to play and organize your collection. It's the classic "all-in-one."
What's inside an ETB?
The content varies slightly depending on the set, but an ETB usually includes:
- 8-9 booster packs from the expansion.
- An exclusive promo card (often holographic).
- Sleeves to protect your cards.
- Basic Energy cards to build decks.
- Dice and markers for damage or status.
- A coin for matches.
- A set guide and dividers.
- A sturdy box to store everything.
Who is an ETB for?
It's ideal if:
- You want to start playing: it includes everything you need at once.
- You're looking for a complete and well-presented gift.
- You like to collect: the box and the exclusive promo are beautiful pieces.
Is it worth it compared to buying individual booster packs?
If you only want to open booster packs at the lowest cost, individual booster packs are slightly cheaper per pack. But the ETB gives you much more overall value: in addition to the packs, you get sleeves, energy cards, accessories, and a box... things that would cost more if bought separately.
